Birthing the Dream- First Tourist to Ride into Space, Richard Branson
‘If you ever had a dream, now is the time to make it come true. I’d like to end by saying welcome to the dawn of a new space age’. – Richard Branson, 11 July 2021.
This was Richard Branson’s speech as he returned from a successful flight to space on a rocket he helped to fund, a feat that has made him the first tourist to ride into space on a private spaceplane. He was accompanied by three crew members. Going into space had always been his childhood dream. Shortly before take-off, Richard Branson tweeted that his mission was to make space travel a reality for everyone.
The supersonic spacecraft that made this landmark space trip a reality was developed by his company, Virgin Galactic. It has opened a new chapter for space tourism.
Key Lessons to Learn from this Feat
- Don’t wait for others to fund your dreams. Believe in yourself and your dreams enough to start from where you are, till you grow big enough to undertake any project.
- No pursuit is bigger than the human mind. The vision that you think is too big can be attained and you are the right person to do it. That is why God chose you.
- Keep your dreams alive. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve had the dream, constantly look for opportunities to bring it to pass.
- Finally, your dreams should open doors for others.
