You Can’t Stop Halfway
Recently during the just-completed Olympics, I watched the 100m race for men, where Nigeria was represented. They all started off very well and I was quite happy to see the Nigerian rep competing very well until suddenly, he developed a muscle pull and limped out of the race. My disappointment was not in the fact that he didn’t win, but that he didn’t make it to the finishing line. He wasn’t even listed in the final result. When you stop halfway at any sports, it’s as good as not competing at all. The same goes for any task or assignment. You don’t get a prize for stopping halfway. Even in the marathons, you are listed as a participant when you make it to the finish line. So brace up. Keep your eyes on your goals. Make up your mind to get to the finishing line, despite all odds. You too can make it.
