A LIFESTYLE OF LOVE
1 John 4:7-8
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God, and every one that loveth is born of God and knoweth God.
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
As we begin to consider building a lifestyle of love, we must first and foremost understand that while the World may have a skewed and perverse narrative as to what Love is, the truth remains that God’s Love in Christ remains the True and Peak of Love (in nature and demonstration)
Since God’s Love is foundational, let’s look at three Basic Truths about God’s Love
- God’s love is Free
- God’s love is abundant (you can’t exhaust it)
- God’s love is unconditional (your imperfection is a qualification for your reception of His Love)
Now that we have established the foundation upon which a Lifestyle Of Love must be built, we must also understand that God’s love has become not only the CORE foundation upon which we are built but also the COMPASS by which we live.
So, let me share with you three powerful and helpful tools in building a Lifestyle of Love based on the Love of God in Christ…
- Receive the True Love of God in Christ Jesus
- Receive the True Love of God in Christ Jesus
- Receive the True Love of God in Christ Jesus

Just before you get vexed, note this…
Remember the saying ‘You cannot give what you don’t have’
Permit me to add, ‘You can’t give in excess, what you have in scarcity’
The more love you receive, the more love you can give.
While we may think that a better way to build a lifestyle of love will be to ‘do and maybe do more’, an actual better way is to ‘receive’ more.
Today we can say that the Believer is not only born by the Love of God but also that the believer has within his born again faculty, the very nature, and component of the Love of God.
Prayer: Lord, I open up my heart today to receive the true love of God through Jesus Christ. Teach me to share this love with others in my daily living in Jesus name. Amen.
