HUMILITY IN LEADERSHIP 2 (Global Leadership Series)
HUMILITY IN LEADERSHIP 2 (Global Leadership Series)
Humility is being selfless even in a state of authority.
Humility most especially in leaders is crucial because God gives grace to the humble.
Now, anyone who is not humble is proud and pride comes before a fall.
The aftermath of pride to mention but a few are:
-Retardation – when a proud person is in a position, there will be no communication. Hence, the state of the followers more often than not moves from bad to worse as nobody knows what to do. Progress will be limited.
– The life of such a leader is at risk because God resists the proud.
– The people will have no regard for him.
– Human nature dislikes pride hence, they will stop at nothing to pull down a proud fellow.
-In times of trouble, the person will be left all alone without help, and then depression sets in.
However, it is important to note that the only antidote to the calamities mentioned above is humility.
The knowledge of humility should be taught and emphasized at all levels.
Therefore, let us humble ourselves, knowing that God gives grace to the humble and resists the proud.
