FIGHTING THE POLLUTANTS OF LUST, INFATUATION, AND SELF PITY 2 (Success in Relationship Series)
FIGHTING THE POLLUTANTS OF LUST, INFATUATION, AND SELF PITY 2
A father of two children was advising his son and daughter based on his life experiences and past life; these were his words of advice to his children. ‘Don’t give in to “Lust, Infatuation, and Self Pity” no matter what you may be going through in life, he told his son and daughter. He said, it almost ruined my life but I was courageous and strong with the help of God to fight through and come out to be a better person. He said I was once a victim of the three pollutant behavior until I found out that no one who ever lived with these habits lived life to the fullest or fulfilled their purpose and made an impact in life.
Lust, infatuation, and self-pity have destroyed many he said. He told them how lust made him lose focus on what is important, he told them how infatuation made him lose people who wanted the best for him, he told them how self-pity made him live in regret and how it deprived him of the ability to move on, do better and become a better person.
He ended his words of advice and encouragement by saying my advice and encouragement are just words, it is left for you both to either listen and learn from them or you tread on the same path and learn the hard way, but I pray you learn from my mistake.
The truth about Lust, infatuation, and self-pity is that you can come out of them, but you have to be ready and desire to be a better, focused, and principled individual.
Our purpose in life is to be our best no matter what comes our way, the way up can be rough and lonely sometimes without help or support from anyone but we must be careful not to give in to habits that will not deprive us of the right to live life to our fullest potential and pursuing our vision.
HOW BREAK FREE FROM LUST, INFATUATION, AND SELF-PITY.
- Identify who you are, know yourself, know your strength and weakness, and use them wisely.
- Tell yourself nothing but the truth, tell yourself the truth always, and don’t live in self-denial.
- Be determined to grow and do better for yourself; seek growth and progress.
- Know your value and worth, and place value on yourself.
- Be wise enough to know when you are going out of line from your goals, dreams, and vision.
- Don’t let life and circumstances control you, understand times and seasons, and know that every struggle is meant to make you a better person.
- Your plan should always be a solution not a liability to yourself and humanity.
- Invest your time into what makes you productive and resourceful.
- Be willing to learn and adapt to change.
- Do not live dwelling on the past, focus on the future with hopes, dreams, vision, and innovation.
NOTE: Anyone that is struggling with lust, infatuation, and self-pity can break free from it, but the person has to be focused on what is important. He or she must be guided by principles of growth and self-development. He or she must be willing to live and not just exist.
Every setback is a setup for a better comeback, it all depends on how you view and handle your setback.
