The Power of Authenticity
Authenticity simply means being original, not a copy or fake. Being genuine is proof of authenticity. When you go to the bank to deposit money, the cashier passes it through the mercury light to check for the authenticity of the notes.
Authenticity as it applies to us is simply being yourself. We are created as originals. Each of us has a unique selling point (USP), that makes us different from others.
For some people, it’s in their voice e.g. Michael Jackson, Sinach, etc. For others, it’s in their manner of speech e.g. Martin Luther King. Jnr, Obama, etc. We still make reference to Martin Luther King Jnr.’s quotes and we still listen to his popular speech, ‘I have a dream which birthed a revolution.
Find your niche. Develop yourself with your unique selling point. Stay true and be authentic. Be real. If you are your authentic self, you have no competition. There is something different about you that your world is waiting for, like a breath of fresh air.
Don’t ever trade your uniqueness by copying someone else’s style. You are the best of you and it’s you we are waiting for.
