THE GREATEST ENEMIES OF SUCCESS
It was a festive night. They had gone out to celebrate. They lifted up their glasses together to cheer and he dropped a splash of liquid in his friend’s cup. Why should he be celebrating a promotion? I’ve barely been promoted these last three years. These hideous thoughts pushed him until he poisoned his friend. His friend died while he went to prison for murder. The CCTV footage showed that split second when he committed the crime.
Negative emotions of fear, self-pity, envy, jealousy, inferiority complex, and ultimately anger are great enemies of success. Why can’t it be me? Why is it always her? Etc. These negative emotions create a fertile ground for evil, which often comes with repercussions.
Judas Iscariot was among the twelve disciples of Jesus, yet he missed it at the end. He walked closely with Jesus, yet greed made him betray Jesus. He eventually committed suicide.
Great ideas come from positive emotions. When you have joy, peace, contentment, tolerance, gratitude, love, and enthusiasm flowing in your heart, it creates a positive atmosphere around you. This affects your thoughts and pushes your mind to release positive ideas, which ultimately leads to success.
Let your thoughts align positively. Let love, joy, and peace fill your heart. The sky is big enough for all the birds to fly. Transform your mind!
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2 NIV
