The Birth of Jesus: Our Ticket to the Father’s love
Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
The greatest show of God’s love was the giving of His Son.
Our access to God came as a result of the birth and eventual sacrifice of Jesus.
Before Jesus came, it was the blood of bulls and goats that served as payment for sins before one could have access to God.
Now as a result of the birth and eventual sacrifice of Jesus, upon believing this sacrifice, we can walk in the consciousness of God’s love knowing fully well that receiving his son, is receiving his love.
Receiving God’s love goes beyond giving us access, it also gives us boldness to utilize that access. Hebrews 4 v 16
Imagine that you visited a friend and his parents told you that you could come into their room anytime you wanted. What you have is access.
If you don’t have the courage or boldness, you still won’t be able to get into the room.
The birth of Jesus is the access and boldness we have to walk in the consciousness of God’s love.
Father, I pray that in this season as we celebrate your birth, many will embrace your love which you have so freely given. Thank you God in Jesus name, amen.
