THE LIFESTYLE OF TRUTHFULNESS
To be truthful means telling or being disposed to telling the truth.
Truthfulness makes life simple but lies bring about complexities.
The life of truthfulness models the life of Christ.
To live a respectable life, one has to be truthful.
Society places a high value on truth.
Truth is the foundation for a fair and just society.
People are more inclined to deal with truthful people.
In business, at work, and in everyday life.
If people cannot trust what you say, even when you are saying the truth, people will find it difficult to believe you.
Truthfulness entails being true to others and being true to who you are as a person, physically, spiritually, etc.
When you are truthful to yourself, being truthful to others won’t be difficult.
Shakespear opined
” To thine own self be true, and it must follow, as night the day, that though canst not then be false to any man”
Someone who is true to themselves is unlikely to be false to others.
The bible admonishes us to say the truth at all times.
Mathew 5:37 says Let your yes be yes and your no, no.
Let people be able to trust what you say as this is part of what God expects from His children.
As you go about your daily activities, make up your mind, to tell the truth at all times. Be true to yourself and who you really are, for this is the way to grow, mature and hold ourselves accountable.
Prayer
Oh Lord, as I step into this new day, help me to walk in truth and be committed to you in Jesus name. Amen.
