Presentation of Scholarship Award and Other Prizes to National Essay Competition Winners
Christian Youth Mentoring Initiative deeply appreciates all the students who took out time to participate in the CYMI national essay competition, both for the Senior Secondary Category and the University Undergraduate Category.
The benefits of participation are enormous. This includes boosting up the confidence, showcasing the talents and creativity of the participants.
Debasish Mridha said, ‘Winning is something, but participation is everything’. Tom Glazer also said, ‘Participation, I think is one of the best methods of Education.’
So today, we are proud of all our youths, who put their best foot forward to take part in this competition. We will be showcasing their work, talent, and creativity on ‘Youth Voices’, an online blog that gives expression to the concerns and yearnings of our youth, https://cymi.org.ng/youthvoices/
The results are as follows;
UNDERGRADUATE CATEGORY
Topic: Youth Voices on National Growth and Unity of Nigeria. Word count,1000 words. The winner in this category is; Miss. Nsikan Udoema, University of Uyo.
The winning essay captured contemporary happenings in the society such as the End Sars protest and others.
SENIOR SECONDARY CATEGORY
Topic: Nigeria, Achieving the Land of our Dreams. Word Count, 500 Words.
The Winner in this category is; Star Emmanuel James, Lutheran High School.
PRO-TALENT CATEGORY
The Winners in this category are;
Adeleke Bushra Adenike, Onitabo High School, Oyo State
Matthew W. Dakas, Summit International School, Jos- South, Plateau State
They went the extra mile by exhibiting talent and creativity with their work.
