It is true that to qualify for a job, one needs to garner the right education, certification, and experience. These kinds of skills are specific to a particular job.
But one also needs soft skills.
Soft skills are your traits and abilities not unique to any job. Say collaboration, target-oriented, leadership, time management, empathy, etc.
Soft skills are personality traits that will help individuals get hired and succeed at their job.
It is widely said that hard skills get interviews while soft skills get jobs.
Being target-oriented is a valuable personal quality that can produce incredible results in your career.
It is important to learn the process of setting targets, reviewing, and tracking your progress.
Being target-oriented means you are focused on achieving a set goal.
People who are target-oriented are motivated and driven by purpose.
Here are some skills that help target-oriented individuals succeed;
1. Self-awareness: To be target-oriented, you need to know your strengths and apply them effectively.
2. Decision-making: The ability to decipher what needs immediate action and steps to follow is vital for a target-oriented individual.
3. Time management: It is said that anything that does not have a date will likely not come to pass. To be effectively target-oriented, one has to set goals with datelines in order to make progress. You can use calendar management to assign yourself short-term milestones that lead to achieving long-term goals.

- Asking for feedback
- Documenting everything
