Handling Differences in Marriage
A few years ago, a couple was on the verge of divorce. The bone of contention was the way and manner they both handled toothpaste. The husband usually presses his toothpaste from the end while the wife presses hers from the middle. This minor difference in approach formed the bedrock of repeated heated arguments, which almost ruined the marriage.
We are all created differently; Boy and girl, son and daughter, husband and wife. These differences are magnified when we come into the institution of marriage. Differences in upbringing, exposure, and cultural beliefs all add up to this equation. These differences often come as a rude shock to most young couples.
Differences can be the source of joys or problems in marriage, depending on how it is handled.
