Creativity is the ability to consider a task or problem in a different way.
Essentially, it is the process of using your intuition to try and formulate new ideas.
Creative problem solving allows you to explore potential solutions regardless of whether a problem has been defined.
Creative problem solving facilitates the development of innovative solutions to difficult problems.
Ultimately, being creative is often essential to problem-solving, both in and out of the workplace.
Creative problem solving will prove you have the ability to approach an issue from every angle other than a single approach.
With the rise in technology, innovation, and new ways of working appearing at a rapid pace, companies have to tap into the creative energy of their employees in order to grow.
Creative problem-solving helps companies in generating new approaches to problems, developing new products, and enhancing/improving existing processes.
Having an employee with creative problem-solving soft skills is a bonus to any organization.
Imagine having an employee who does not only rely on conventional thinking to solve problems but finds new perspectives and comes up with innovative solutions to problems. Awesome right!
It is pertinent to explore the models for creative problem-solving.
1. Clarify
(a)Explore the vision
Identify your goal, vision, and challenge. This is a crucial first step as identifying your objectives will provide clarity. This takes away the possibility of assuming incorrectly that you know what the problem is.
(b)Gather data
(c)Formulate questions.
2. Ideate
(a)Explore ideas
Generate ideas that answer the challenge.
3. Develop
(a)Formulate Solutions
4. Implement
Above all seek wisdom from God who gives freely.
