Did you know that at the last annual meeting, Mr. Paul was seen escorting Miss Anita back to her hotel room at night? They were even holding hands. Mr. Paul is married with three children. Anita is getting married soon. I wonder what’s up with those two?
Answer- How is that my business?
Great. It is actually not your business except you are Mr. Paul’s wife or Miss Anita’s fiancé. There are many codes of conduct that are not acceptable in the workplace. Gossiping is one of them. Gossip at work is a distraction and is the occupation of idle minds. It is often based on unverified rumour, lies and malicious stories. It can ruin your reputation in the office.
Character building in the workplace is putting together the right set of moral and ethical standards needed for success in the office environment. Character is a pattern of behaviour. It is the mental and moral qualities that are peculiar to an individual. Building the right character at work is crucial for our peace of mind and maximum productivity.
