Habits that set you up for impact in your field.
Habits that set you up for impact in your field.
-Sharpen your axe
Abraham Lincoln said, ‘Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe. To make an impact in your field, you need to make sure you stay sharp. Spend a lot of time, becoming more knowledgeable, and getting better at what you do. This helps you to make faster and more accurate decisions. Your result will speak for itself.
Charles Munger (An American billionaire investor and vice chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, a conglomerate controlled by Warren Buffet) attributes much of their success to quiet hours of reading and thinking.
-Work even when you are not motivated or inspired to do so
If you don’t feel motivated to work; then tackle it in small bits; a little at a time. The sum total will give you the results you are looking for. Ants are known for storing up food that will last them for a long time, possibly all through winter. However, they carry it in small bits at a time. Start in the smallest possible way.
Remember, Keep going whether you are inspired or not. It’s the consistency of what you do that counts!
Together we win!
