-Stay positive in the face of challenges or struggles
Every single day of our lives, we are faced with different types of challenges or struggles. Our reaction to these challenges or struggles plays a huge role in our productivity, relationships, career, family life, and more.
Have you ever had an argument or faced a challenge that almost ruined your day? That is if you allowed it. The choice is usually ours to make.
Productivity requires bringing out the best of our talent to make something bigger, better, or more profitable. Most times, we bring our technical skills to the table but they are not enough. Your ability to manage your emotional state on cloudy days is also very vital.
Let’s do a quick self-evaluation on our temperament and reaction to situations and challenges;
-How do you react if someone cuts in front of you in a line of traffic during rush hour?
-How do you react when your classmate borrows your note for exams and refuses to return it?
-How do you react when you are in a big hurry and someone stops to ask you for directions?
-How do you react at work when your boss says no to your request for a vacation or salary increase?
-How do you react when you lend money to a colleague or friend and they refuse to pay it back?
-How do you react during an argument?
-How do you react when people provoke you, sometimes deliberately?
-How do you react when your boss or leader calls you a fool in front of your colleagues
Do you let go and have an emotional outburst on everyone within close range or do you stay in charge? Do you allow your emotions to control you or do you control them?
Challenges and struggles are real but you have the control button over your reactions. That’s what really counts in your daily journey.
