The Power of Meditation
Recently, the country lost a beautiful actress that was loved by many. She opened up about being depressed after the loss of many loved ones. Emotional challenges are real and often cannot be seen with the human eye. While the outward appearance may be dazzling, the inward may be hurting.
As humans, we are constantly looking for answers to the questions of life. As believers, our answer lies with our creator, our heavenly father. One recommended way of facing life’s challenges is through the power of meditation.
Meditation from the Christian perspective is prayer. It is your quiet moment when you communicate with God. In the place of meditation, you pour out your hurts, pain, depression, anxiety, sorrow, and all the emotional baggage in your life before God.
In the place of meditation, as you communicate with your maker, you also receive comfort and solace. Being amidst friends, family and associates is not a guarantee of comfort. The only one that can grant us true comfort is our heavenly father. He has the answer to every question. He is the unseen hand that rules over the universe. If you are hurting and in pain, drop it at HIS feet in the place of meditation. He says, come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavily laden, and I will give you rest.
