Becky graduated with a second-class upper division grade from the Department of Biochemistry. She was one of the brightest students in her class. It was her big day, her graduation day but she felt unfulfilled. Her lifelong goal was to become a medical doctor. Unfortunately, she didn’t meet up with the Jamb cut-off score for medicine that year.
Seven years ago, I ran into Becky again. She was now a doctor in the hospital where we met. She had gone back to study medicine after graduation. She had fulfilled her life-long quest after years of pursuit.
Pursuit is the action of tenaciously following through and pursuing a goal or ambition. It takes tenacious pursuit and focus to follow up on an ambition, calling, purpose or career goals, etc till it materializes.
