SCRIPTURE: And Samuel said to Jesse, Are all the young men here? Then he said, There remains yet the youngest and there he is, keeping the sheep.
And Samuel said to Jesse, Send and bring him. For we will not sit down till he comes here. 1 Samuel 16:3
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
By the standards of men, David was not qualified to be king. His biological father did not send for him when Samuel arrived. He had seven sons whom he thought were more deserving. But God didn’t choose them.
So what qualified David? GRACE. It is the grace of God that qualifies the unqualified. “Grace is God’s life, power, and righteousness given to us by unmerited favor.” That same grace qualified Solomon. His mother came into the life of David his father under questionable circumstances. But God singled him out and made him king.
You’ve looked at your life and disqualified yourself. But the grace of God is available to qualify you. It’s not in your background or your status. It is God’s grace. Acknowledge His grace today and let God’s will be done through you.

PRAYER
Thank you Lord for your word to me today. I decree that I am saved by Grace. I am chosen by God. I am a royal priesthood. The devil has no hold on me. I am a holy nation. I am called out of darkness into God’s light in Jesus name. Amen.
