‘The Primary difference between high achievers and others is action orientation’. Peak performers and high achievers are always on the move, putting together plans and executing their next project. They get to work by taking immediate action on their ideas.
On the other hand, others may have good intentions and ideas, but they never act. They always have a reason or an excuse for no action or delayed action. So, they end up with plenty of ideas without results.
How to move from ideas to action;
Moving from ideas requires deliberate steps. Create an ideas book and an action book. The ideas book should have details of your ideas and plans, while your action book should show steps you have taken on a daily basis.
For example,
– Are you looking for investors for your business? Do you have an investment proposal? How many investors have you spoken with so far?
– Are you looking for clients? What is your advertising strategy? How many clients have you marketed this week?
Give yourself a time frame, then review. How many actionable steps did you take in a week? Did any of your actions yield results? Or do you need to change your strategies?
If you made some progress, celebrate your small wins. Keep at it.
Action pays better than good intentions.
