Single yet fulfilled
A single person can be happy and content by learning how to live a fulfilled life. Being single is not a deficient state. A happy single will bring joy, peace, and good vibes into a home. An unhappy single will not automatically change into a happy person just because he or she is now married. From the concept of mathematics, it is two complete halves that make one whole. Being content and fulfilled is an asset that one must develop before going into any relationship or a marital union.
A few tips to living as a fulfilled single;
- Maintain a positive identity. Have a good self-image. A lot of people battle feelings of inferiority and self-hatred. In simple terms, be happy with yourself. You can only give to others what you have. Build yourself emotionally.
- Have a robust relationship with God. Build yourself spiritually. Have a clear and solid faith that is not easily shaken. Be confident in God’s word. Trust in his love. Know that God’s love will never fail.
- Be comfortable even when you are alone. As a single person, you have the advantage of giving your undivided attention to spiritual matters and time with God. This may not be the case once you are married due to the demands of family life.
- Develop yourself. Look at yourself as a blessing to someone. Develop yourself as such. Be occupied with preparing yourself for whoever God is preparing for you. Develop yourself into a self-confident and self-aware person. Be well adjusted in your beliefs. Accept yourself so you can truly give and share yourself with others.
