The Pitfall of a Lack Mentality
The Pitfall of a Lack Mentality
It is important to note that our lives are powered by our minds. As a man thinks in his heart, so he is.
Nobody has the capacity to perform above his or her mental limitations, that is to say, no individual can live life better than their mindset and mentality.
With this knowledge as a backdrop, we can boldly say that:
– No one will live physically, a life of abundance until his mind has stepped into the realm of abundance.
Generally speaking, your legs will not carry you where your mind hasn’t first traveled.
The following are some pitfalls of a lack mentality
– You can never be at your best: it’s difficult to give your best to any venture because your mind is still grappling with whether or not you deserve a “life of optimal”.
– It tells on your self-esteem: until you see yourself as deserving of a life of abundance, everyone living that life you’re yet to access seems to be a threat to you and your self-esteem.
– It creates tunnel vision: a lack mentality limits one to a realm of immediate needs only. Not because such a person only wants to think about immediate needs but because in reality, it’s all they can think about.
Research has shown that a lack or scarcity mentality can lower one’s IQ by as significantly as 14% that may not seem like much but it’s a lot considering that this number can take you from average to outstanding.
The beautiful thing about all this is that nobody was born with a lack mentality. As a result of nurture and all of life’s experiences, we pick up these traits whether consciously or unconsciously.
If we weren’t born with it, then it can be corrected. We can rewire and recondition ourselves to live a life of abundance.
It’s possible!
