Love is not the only factor to consider in the choice of a spouse. However, love is an important ingredient that’ll hold a marriage together.
By all means, don’t marry someone you don’t love and by all means, too, love whoever you eventually marry.
In marriage, offence will abound but as the Bible says, love covers a multitude of wrongs.
Love in our hearts will help us forgive better because when you’re certain of your partner’s love for you and vice versa, you know that you cannot deliberately set out to hurt each other. This knowledge will help you forgive and let go offences in the event that they happen.
Love in Marriage not only impacts the couple themselves but the children, the caregivers, domestic staff, and really anyone who comes in contact with the family.
Two partners who decide to love themselves as God instructs will make love a culture in their home.
Children brought up in a loving atmosphere will definitely be more stable than those who weren’t.
Love in Marriage must be expressed in every way possible:
– In the giving of gifts.
– In carrying out various acts of service for one another.
– In spending quality time with each other.
– In affirming one another with words.
– In physical touch.
Loving in Marriage as God commands will kill pride, self, and ego. You will apologize even when you want to be stubborn because you understand that winning your home is more important than winning an argument.
This kind you cannot do without God’s help…for it is God that’s at work in us helping us both to will and to do of His own good pleasure
